That’s good you didn’t just hand your kids wealth, I’ve seen that work out poorly many many times. I wish I had a better understanding of which guitars are impressive and which are not. I’m sure I will in some indeterminate amount of time. I have an affinity for Yamaha as a brand, I’ve had several of their motorcycles, my 82 maxim 650 was quite an impressive machine I beat the piss out of it and it barely needed matinence and ran for almost 6 years before I sold it for more than I bought it for. 400$ and it was shaft driven. So I’ll probably look at Yamaha guitars, maybe I can find one used from someone that’s giving up on learning ;). Good luck with the show.
