I barely get cell phone service here - and sometimes get no service at all. I'm pretty remote. LOL
Yeah figured that it’s what the amp is for. Antenna and radio about 10 times as strong as a cell phones repeats the signal for the modem. The setup I did had no signal before I put in the booster and pointed it at the nearest tower.
Hmm... There's towers on nearby mountains, but the way it's set up it still puts me in a dead zone. Well, not quite dead.
It's an interesting idea. In theory, they're going to run fiber down Rt. 16 and I'm pretty close to that.
Well depending on how long until they are running it might be a good stop gap. Do you have line of site to the tower? If you were feeling really ambitious you could setup a fail over setup with your existing DSL connections. I've done a fair bit of network setups in remote locations. The amp would probably also have enough through put to handle your phones too so it will fix your signal issue, if you want it fixed that is I can for sure think of a few arguments for having no cell service.
