Right? I ain't even gotta win any races. I just gotta show up and go down the track a few times.

If I win, it's even funnier. You can even throw it on a quick charger (assuming that's possible at the track) between races.

They're only 1/8 or 1/4 mile long.

I'm sure they've got power ports - and probably even charging stations. EVs are pretty common at many drag strips. EVs pretty much dominate in that area. I'd need to do standardized charging, which is easy enough to buy off the shelf and just add your own Li-on battery packs to them. There's a bit of software you may need to fuck with, but it's not too bad.

Frankly, including the motors, I'd be surprised if it cost me more than 5k to do the entire project with EV, maybe a bit less with a bike engine.

Well, I'd have to put a parachute on the back. Even if I don't need it, I'm gonna deploy the chute every time, just to make the crowd giggle.
