LOL I've already ordered everything. The cards should have been here already but shipped later than they claimed, but that'll still be fine.
The credit union will have all the cards for me when scheduled. That's one of those trips, as I'll also be picking up a bundle of cash, where I go armed. I walk right into the credit union while wearing a pistol strapped to my waist and another one under my jacket in a shoulder holster. I'll carry four magazines for each sidearm.
The visible pistol is to keep stupid people from being stupid.
If robbed, I'd probably give them the cards and cash - the firearms are in case someone else gets involved. If it's just me, take the money. If they threaten a loved one, or even a stranger gets in between it, that's when I stop playing games and lean on those skills that let me plink rabbits on the run with a pistol.
I don't think there will be any trouble, but I do things like this armed just in case.
Sadly, the cards come activated. They can't just magically activate them on like the 23rd. I wish they could, but they can't. That and I'll have a solid amount of cash on me. So, it's one of those rare times that I arm myself. I'm sure quite a few people know that I make this run around this time of the year. I don't know who knows this information. I don't know who has been told what. So, this is one of those instances when I'm strapped.
I hope you never get put in a situation you have to use them
Me too. Me too...
If it's just me and nobody else involved, well... They'd be idiots 'cause I've got a pistol visibly hanging on my side. But, some folks are stupid. So, I prepare for the stupidest of stupid and hope for the best.
I doubt most people would do anything even if they knew what money you had on you
