It goes on until next week Sunday, so for ten days. Then a week later bow season is back open for another month

That's a pretty short season. We have a much longer season, but it's nearly done for the season. I always get mine pretty early in the season. I don't relish the idea of being in the woods with people who are armed and desperate.

You can bow hunt the entire season, as memory serves. But, there's an extended archery season, which is before firearm season, when it's bow exclusive (except for some parts that also are muzzle loading season).

Bow season is much longer, That starts the first weekend of September up until last Sunday, Then another 4 weeks in December

Your firearm season sounds pretty short, but it seems like a good idea to pick up a bow in your neck of the woods.
