Yeah, they weren't sold here. Anything imported is likely to be at least in running condition. The only market for them is weirdos and collectors. Finding one that's not in running condition might be harder than finding one in running condition. I dunno, 'cause I've not really looked.
I'll toss the idea at my guys and they'll do what needs to be done as far as research.
I don't mind taking one in restored condition and modifying it. They're not exactly rare - they're just kinda rare outside of Europe.
They made a whole freaking lot of them over there, didn't they?
They were made in abundance and not just by BMW. In three years, BMW made 160,000 of 'em.
