Where I'm at, it's a microclimate, so I'm often pretty chilly compared to the rest of the nation. I'm colder than it is in Alaska at times.
But, when there's an arctic front and the jet stream pours down on where you live, it's gonna get cold.
We get -30 degree temperatures here about once or twice a year. That's about the coldest it gets here
The coldest I've seen on a thermometer was -40 - and that's 'cause that was as low as it went. It was at least -43, 'cause that's what the weather station at the village airport registered.
But, there were 30 mph winds on that day. So, with windchill, it was at least -90 - but the windchill chart kinda fades out at that point.
It was fucking brutal. Even with the appropriate gear, it was brutal.
I am not sure how cold it was, 'cause there wasn't anything to accurately measure it. Plus, the windchill isn't the real temperature.
That's like if you go outside and spit, ice hits the ground weather
