At the same time, one of the reasons he killed them was 'cause he wanted the relationship to last longer.

So, in his twisted mind, I suspect he just wanted the same things we want - someone to love you, someone to be there in the morning, and someone to cuddle with at night.

He was just REALLY fucking crazy and you don't get long-term relationships out of homeless transients who are gay for pay or confused young boys who just wanted a warm meal and a place to crash for a few days.

I am kinda fascinated by weirdos and serial killers.

He had to know he would need to replace them when he killed them

It was usually about the time they'd be leaving, having told him so or whatever he just assumed, that it got to the ol' killing and preserving part. He really didn't eat that many/much of his victims.

He did give some interviews that I've listened to and he never gave clear answers about why he ate them.

I think he might have been exploring ways to get rid of the evidence? I'm speculating, but it fits his personality. I mean, it's not like he ever once thought was he was doing was legal.
