Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

That's an odd looking duck

It is! It's a cranky thing to start in the cold - but it does start. It's a diesel so you gotta heat it up with glow plugs first. Well, it took like 10 minutes for the light to go off. The heater in it sucks - but you can open these flaps that let the engine's heat fill the cab - and that'll warm you up just fine. In fact, the window defrost is just a couple of open flaps that let heat from the engine do the work. It wasn't even that cold. It was mid-morning when I started it up, above freezing but not by too much.

I dunno if it goes faster than about 45 MPH. I didn't like the revs it needed to hit that. But, it's got a lot of torque. So long as you're in 3rd gear, you will not need to downshift even on some of the mountain roads around me. Well, I haven't taken it down the steep way, into Farmington.

It gets a lot of looks and waves. People smile when they see it. They don't know what it is, but they like seeing it.

Maybe they thing Canada is invading when they see it

Maybe? I'm not sure if Canada ever used those. Canada has a lot of equipment from US sources and has for a long time.

I've never looked that up, though I'm sure there are clubs and experts out there. I should probably join a club. I do that for a lot of my cars. There's a club for most cars, so it seems. Those are the places you want to be friendly, 'cause it's where that one guy who knows everything about them hangs out. They're an invaluable source of knowledge, often free of charge, for when things break or when you want to know more information about it.

Shit, there's probably a car club for your car. Well, if not thee's definitely a "Jag Owner's Group" or something similar, but your specific Jag may have its own club.
