You might like it. Lots and lots of people do.
Lots and lots of people don't own multiple exotics... But multiple people love this Jeep!
I think I'll have my guys spruce it up, go over it with a fine toothed comb - maybe even digging into the engine to ensure that's solid for another 80,000 miles. Then, I'll advertise it locally (ME, NH, MA, and VT) at 45k.
I'll have 'em spray the bottom in rust proof coating after hitting any worn spots with a wire brush. I'll put a bull bar and winch on the front. I'll update all the lighting - switching them all to LEDs. I'll get a real roof rack and put fancy lights on roof rack - and mount the spare tire on it. I'll probably see if they can do something about the sound system.
All of those can be reversed. They're all bolt-on, no drill types of things. So, the new owner can restore it to factory if they want. I'll make sure to keep any parts that are removed.
What I won't do is a lift, fender flares, and wider/bigger tires. You're looking at more than a grand for that. I should be able to have the other stuff done for well under 2k.
I'll then slap a 50k price on it and hold it until a buyer does come along. I'll likely settle for 40k. I'll have my guys do the selling and they can split anything over 40k that they manage to sell it for. I might even let 'em split anything more than 35k, 'cause I really don't want to hold on it for all that long.
My views may change before I move to the next vehicle. But, right now that's my thinking. I already spent going on 2k for tires. The tires were $350 each and I got five of 'em.
So, I don't want to dump too much into it.
(My network dropped out, but not for nearly as long as it often does.)
I think I would rather drive in something I enjoy the drive over something I laugh at the lack of power
It'd be fine for cruising along.
It'll do 0 to 60 in like 16 seconds!
But, if you want to drive a couch - but not the most comfortable couch, it's not like a 70s Cadillac - then it's not bad. When it snows you'll be able to get where you want to go, especially with those tires on it.
I'd rather spend the money to fix my Jag than drive that!
Chris and I are sitting here singing Christmas songs!
LOL Well, have fun!
I should be here for a while. I've got wine - and beer, actually.
We have Budweiser
