Me too! That's the scary part!

I've woken up with no clue how I got home. I've driven with one eye closed so that I don't see double. I once woke up on my couch with my car outside, out of gas and with key still in the run position. So, it sat there idling until it ran out of gas while I somehow managed to make it inside to my couch.

I don't do it anymore, but I used to drink myself stupid - to blackout levels of drunk. I didn't drink much beer or wine. I drank hard stuff, like rum or vodka. I'd drink until I couldn't see straight. Then, I'd hop in my vehicle and drive. I drove around the county like this - more than once! Not one ticket. Not one violation. A few iffy situations, but I maintained well enough. Vodka is hard to pick up on your breath, for the curious.

There was a few times in the past where I had to cover one eye so I could decide which one of the roads to follow. and I made it safely

It's a nice break to just be home alone with the dog. They'll be back tomorrow and are having fun. I'd be in agony from all that walking.

I kinda wish I'd never learned the 'close one eye' trick. That let me drive even more drunk. It's pretty bad when you don't remember driving home.

It does mean I have some pretty amusing stories, but people don't want to hear drunk driving stories anymore. Society has changed! We ALL drove drunk back in the day. It was normal. It's just what you did.

In my lifetime, I've driven more miles drunk/high than I've driven sober.

Also, the Packers should win tonight's game.

My family is still shopping. I told 'em to hit up Portland tomorrow and get a hotel room tonight rather than driving back at night on early winter roads. The DOT won't be quite up to speed so the roads will be icy in places. So, give it a day for things to get cleaned up and come back tomorrow.

I miss 'em, but they're having fun and I'd rather they not wreck. They're a full on three vehicle convoy.

They're doing "well"... I get emails every time Biff makes a purchase 'cause she's using a card on one of my accounts.
