LOL Probably. They go out with graders and plow snow with those. It's not all that effective, but it's better than nothing.
I've got a plow with the shoes removed so I can drag it right on the ground.
That will tear up the pavement won't it?
The graders? Yeah.
Me? No, I'm good at it. You'll get some minimal scratching but that's gonna happen even with shoes. They're not technically removed, they're just lifted. We just refer to it as taking the shoes off, but they're higher than the bottom of the plow so they're 'removed from the situation'. So, I couldn't dig deep into the pavement too deep anyhow. But, I'm good at it. I work the remove with my right hand while also working the shifting lever with my right hand. I've got it pretty dialed in.
I do wish they'd make remote controlled shoes. There are times when that'd be handy, but mostly only if I'm plowing and going like 45 mph at the same time.
I remember I used to know a coke dealer who drove a snowplow. I used to go for a fore with him once in a while. One night he was plowing this bar parking lot, and the bar got raided by the cops for some reason. So he just parked off to the side in the parking lot and watched while we did line after line. The cops took a bunch of people to jail, but never looked at us
