Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

That sucks.

You need a VPN so that you appear to be somewhere other than the US. Though, it seems to think some Canadian IP addresses are also US addresses.

In fact, they attempt to geo-block and it doesn't go well. I sometimes have to try multiple IP addresses to get it to work.

Was that supposed to play the race?

Is this the big 24 hours of Lemans that Jaguar won back in the day driving the car to the race and then driving it back home?

Similar - except it's in Daytona, Florida. It's also multi-class racing. It also features a bunch of prototypes.

It's another 24 hour race, and many of the people and cars will be in Le Mans.

There's also a new class of hybrid prototypes. They're amazing. BMW has one, but they suck at racing lately. They're not doing well in any class.

Oh ok, so this is not the famous 24 hours of LeMans, I was thinking they don't run that in January, at least it did not seem right to me, so that makes sense now

Also, back in the day, everyone drove their car to Le Mans. Many of 'em didn't have a car to drive home.

The failure rate was insane - like 80+% didn't complete the race.

I can imagine in the days of 60 years ago and before that the 24 straight hours of driving at the limits would wear out the parts and breakdowns were fairly common, and parts were not really mass produced like they are now, most of the stuff they did to build the HP on those motors was home made, I believe
