I missed them. I meant to catch the Jesus ads but I missed them. They've been running ads all season and were supposed to have a spectacular ad during halftime. I read about it when I saw the ads appearing week after week and looked up information about the domain name. So, I was pretty curious about the ad during halftime and I somehow missed it. I was probably peeing or too intent on typing.
USFL looks interesting. They start in March, as memory serves. I'll keep an eye on them. Who knows, maybe it'll be worth watching?
She took the IEMs out at just about the end when she was done with most of the singing. She took them out and handed them off to a dancer at the same time she handed off the microphone so that she could clap her thighs together while posing.
Also, if you're gonna do the Super Bowl, you shouldn't have to depend on IEMs. You should have that shit so rehearsed that you can do it in your sleep. You should be able to execute it perfectly - even if there's no sound at all. Come the fuck on, it's the Super Bowl! Have some goddamned pride in your work when you're performing for millions of people.
I believe the musical acts have to pay the NFL millions of dollars for the privilege of performing for such a large audience. One would think they would have been rehearsing for months and have the show down to a T.
I believe that's mostly rumor... Lemme look it up. Yeah, that's a rumor...
Yeah, they don't get paid much directly. The expenses are covered by the NFL, including travel and lodging.
The artist does get paid at 'union scale', and that's it. The NFL pays a lot of money for the show, overall. They pay for all the show's equipment and stuff like that.
Here's one such link that popped up in my search:
I had heard that they let the band with the highest bid do the show
