You want people to learn and accept your legitimacy? Citations, citations, citations. Why do you think research papers always require a bibliography? They're not a legitimate paper unless the sources can be verified. From then on, they get recognition and get fast tracked to being published and accepted by a wider audience.
What portion of the population would you say demands a citation given an abundance of additional information which already confirms it?
No one ever got successful by merely meeting the demand. The winners provide solutions before the demand hasn't even materialized yet. If I'm providing you with a better way to convince people easily, then that means there's even a better way than you or I can even imagine that has yet to be figured out.
