Everyone likes to point out the plastics in our food and environment as bad, but no one seems to give any thought to the radionuclides that were put into the environment from above ground nuclear testing and disasters like Chernobyl and Fukushima. That shit is everywhere. It even contaminated steel produced after testing started so that any new scientific equipment that is sensitive to radiation must use pre-WW2 steel in its construction.
How much cancer have these radionuclides caused that we blame on other sources? These radionuclides will be around for thousands of years in our crops, milk, water and just about everything else. Why don't we ever see studies done on these radioactive contaminants? Perhaps it's because of who is to blame for them being in the environment in the first place. Interesting...
