WTF are you talking about? Upper and Lower Canada banned the practice 7 years after establishing the colonies, before it had even become commonplace and well before the advent of the industrial revolution.
European technological advancement didn't start with the industrial revolution.
There was still a use for slaves that was commonplace elsewhere for nearly a century while here was rejected.
It wasn't rejected everywhere at once, some places lagged behind. But nonetheless Canada was able to reject slavery because of advancements in farming and industrial technology.
When you consider the breath of the history of slavery, ending it within a century is a blink of an eye.
