The alphabet is. Some words. But the hebrews probably got their alphabet from somewhere as well. And many languages share those same words that are common to modern languages which indicates a root language farther back.

I give it a watch later. Not long ago I discovered that the major alphabets have an axe of symmetry when arranged in a pyramid that is indicated by the vowels. When I find it again I will post in the sub s/strange.
