Just watched a Rome documentary that was fairly honest and forthcoming. Shit is real, dude. Lots of similarities.

I had the (rare) very good, borderline redpilled public-school education and in particular we studied Rome well. I also took a famous Rome course at college that was just phenomenal, no punches held by that guy.

knowing that we are in the decline should have been the greatest motivation anyone has ever had to push for a colony on the moon or beyond, but all i've seen doing so were science fiction writers until elon musk started his rocket push. I'm all for a colony being possible on another planet. There is no place on this planet left to get away from everything and never deal with the PC bullshit ever again. On mars that bullshit WILL get people killed, and i hope everyone pushing for PC on earth stays the fuck away from mars.

Ever read the book Ishmael? It uses a Socratic method to explain (among several things) that our culture has already steered of a cliff. We believe we're flying because we flap our arms but we just haven't hit the ground yet.
