knowing that we are in the decline should have been the greatest motivation anyone has ever had to push for a colony on the moon or beyond, but all i've seen doing so were science fiction writers until elon musk started his rocket push. I'm all for a colony being possible on another planet. There is no place on this planet left to get away from everything and never deal with the PC bullshit ever again. On mars that bullshit WILL get people killed, and i hope everyone pushing for PC on earth stays the fuck away from mars.
I can see the signs already:

Stop three tits shaming.
Terraforming is not environment friendly.
that's why there should never be prison cells on mars. there is already an airlock. No need to over complicate a behaviour issue.
