It doesn’t in Batman either. In the comics he “defeats” his villains dozens of times, each time they break out, kill a bunch of people, rinse, repeat.

Right batman was a soft homo. Somebody kills your family you wanna throw them in jail? Pay for them to live out the rest of their days.
