Considering my Polish parents and being raised in Germany, I am thoroughly conflicted.

The idea that it could be propaganda just makes me sick if it means I undermine the Polish victims; my great grandmother (not her husband) wasn't happy about her daughter moving to Germany for instance; she also said the Soviets absolutely did rape some of her acquaintances, it just makes me not want to think about the war anymore.

I always look forward to your comments (also Blood-Is-Nature's) There isn't a worse battlefield for civilians, are there other examples of modern warfare in "first world" countries that had a third party's country's capital city as a battleground?
