Are you fucking retarded?? Hemp certainly has been illegal to grow in america for a very long time.
Go sit in the corner while the adults discuss things your tiny brain can't comprehend.
Yea, "to grow". We import everything you fucking retard, I have mountains of hemp products. Strain your brain really hard and try to pull a stupid explanation out of your ass for how that would make any difference at all. We import all of our oil, all of our steel, all of our textiles, plastics, etc. But hemp? Oh yes that's the game changer here. That's absolutely the only barrier preventing manufacturers from producing something TEN TIMES STRONGER THAN STEEL. You solved the mystery, congrats.
America net exports agricultural products. Yet we are not going to allow farmers to grow hemp, which even if I accept your premise of 'isnt good building material', which I don't, it can still be used to make rope, clothing, paper, ect so you tell me, why would the government make it illegal to grow?
I'm sure it has nothing to do with big business wanting people to buy their shit instead of growing industrial products in their own back yard.
> Guys! I own hemp pants and therefore there's totally NO conspiracy behind mega industries lobbying government to make growing hemp illegal. We just import stuff!!!

Woah it took a whopping one message for you to forget what the topic is. The topic is building a car out of hemp you fucking moron. Go build a car out of hemp and drive it around. Please, PLEASE get up to highway speeds so I never have to see your dumbass again. You're literally too fucking stupid to speak any sense to. Brooooo I bet pot cures cancer too brooooo. You guys are dumb as hell.
Was illegal. It's not any more. I thought.
I think you are correct. Something with the 2018 farm bill that was passed. Idk how 'not illegal' they made it but my whole point is wtf does the government need to be outlawing an industrious plant for in the first place
It was just illegal because it's associated with marijuana. That's illegal because various lobbies, most notably drug manufacturers don't like the competition.
