You should, it's probably the closest example of what the US is facing in the coming years. Neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, sons against fathers.
I think that you are unfortunately correct. Reflect on the sort of statesmanship needed to navigate this hot mess and then consider the chuckle-heads at the helm of government. It could easily make the Spanish Civil war look tame in comparison if it can't be managed peacefully.
It was a milestone against communist and deserves to be remembered.
