i used to batter bread them. that was stupid - all you need is a delicious crispy outside baked with hot sauce. cut out so much preparation time and tastes even better this way.

Yeah I can do them straight in the oven. Then sauce. I have made traditional buffalo, honey mustard, but also Thanksgiving cranberry and I did sweet potato one time

if you put the sauce in first all the fat and juices from the chicken wings will combine with the sauce and become more mouth watering, and the chicken will be infused with the flavor. flip em around every 20 minutes for an hour of cook time at least to get them falling off the bone.
