Fuck you. Keep dst ALL YEAR LONG. We don't want daylight savings time removed we want it permanent. Sunshine till 9pm is much better than sunshine at 5am.
I find this Standard vs. Daylight time dispute such a stupid argument: --the time doesn't change, only the numbers we assign to it. I agree that it should be the same all year 'round, but it really doesn't matter that much what the numbers are. Nonetheless I do have a personal preference that makes sense to me, I would prefer to keep standard time, only because that would mean that at noon the sun is at its highest point in the sky like it's supposed to be. Also I don't like getting up in the morning while it's still dark.
While you are right, we don't live by daylight, we live by clocks.
So if all clocks say 8am then the banks aren't open and the trains aren't running.
If they all say 9pm all the bars are swinging and the movie theaters packed.
The sun in relation to our clocks is whats important, and having more sunlight later is infinitely more beneficial than having it earlier
Fuck this shit. Its not gonna be light here till 7:30. I have usually done an hours work by that time. It should be a month later.
Without it the sun sets at 3:30pm for me.
