Quite frankly you can doubt information released about this or that, nuclear weapon tests or moon landing or whatever critical technological domain at the time, simply because you just don't hand vids and pics of your best toys to the enemy and also because you want him to shit his pants thinking you're "already there", while in fact you're almost there
I'm not saying the moon landing didn't happen, I'm saying part of the footages we see were doctored if not made in advance in case of failure for instance, it turns into a success anyway
From a military stand point it makes perfect sense, it's war, deception is key
Same could be said about atomic tests
...
I don't think nuclear bombs are fake, and I also think they are much more handy to use than their TNT equivalent, for obvious reasons...
If A bombs were a hoax, you can bet at least one nuclear physicist would have called it a scam
Pakistan has it, India has it, France has it, UK has it, China has it, Russia has it, Israel has it...
That's a fuckton of different people in the conjob... Way too much to realistically keep it quiet for so long, someone would have blown the lid already if A bombs were fake
...
To me, it's not the A bomb itself that is the scariest part, but the cheap upgrade you can add to it
