There may be a backdoor for them to intercept but I doubt theres a way to interject new messages or they would have been using that to frame people since iMessage came out.
A cloned phone or even a second device merely logged into iCloud is enough to fake messages from a person.
OK sure that may be true but again its not an intercepted and changed in translation message. I dont think its possible
iCloud already has "silent filtering" so, even encrypted, they are being screened.
Apple does have the patent to "censor text messages" and created it under the guise of preventing unwanted sexting.
This patent was filed in 2008.
So.... they already know how to see your text messages, even encrypted.
