Had insurance through my employers all of my career. Well, until Obummer Care came out. First they cut everyone's hours so you couldn't qualify, since you were now part-time. They finally just took it away and handed us an insurance agent card.
Counted down 15 years sans insurance, till I lived long enough to get Medicare. 🎉
The company I'm with now offers it, but it's totally useless, both in what it covers, the crazy premium, and the insane deductibles.
I had one medical visit this last year because I needed some amox for a sinus infection. Used one of those online docs for $35, she was polite, quick, and goes "Yep, you gotta sinus infection, here's the script you wanted."
Company insurance, that would have been at least a $200 trip, instead of $40 total.

Precisely why I went without. Just paid out of pocket the few times I've needed to. VASTLY cheaper.
Reminds me of some comedian's joke, (can't remember who), talking about car insurance is like gambling.
Bet you two grand a year I don't wreck my car.
<Wrecks car.....>
Bet you double or nothing, I don't do it again!
😄
Yeah, it's legalized gambling, and you know the minute you need something you get dropped. The house wins even if you win, because you're always the loser.
