Many nations test laser systems on the battlefield already, but these are not made for long distances yet (going through miles of atmosphere requires a lot of energy).
The flaming thingies are the decoys that burn the remaining fuel to create the heat signature the air defence missiles are searching for.
The Iron Dome is an Israeli system against low flying targets like rockets and drones. All other air defence is from Raytheon and Boeing and rebranded to sound Israeli. They fare not better in Israel than in Ukraine, get hit by the ballistic missiles they should protect against and so. Their main weakness is the low production rate: they were made to sell them for a very high price, not for mass production.
