I'm going to church tomorrow. THere is a church at the bottom of the hill, it's an episcopal church. I have been to stubborn and pragmatic to go back to church after telling everyone I was an Atheist. It seems that all my heros in life believe in Jesus, and I'm sick of being associated with the liberals/leftist that are immoral atheist and not the atheism but how they pervert it. I've been thinking about this for about a week off and on and realized that I act like church person the way I live my life without the god stuff included, super honest, friendly, helpful, willing to help a person at the drop of a hat. I just think I should give it a shot since it's been over 45 years since I last went. Any thoughts here?

If I'm not mistaken, Jesus says not to fall into the trap of listening to people preach about religion. Religion is something you carry with you, within you, within your own "temple," no church required.

Church can be good. It's just hard to find those that aren't ruined by a greedy person at the head of them. Man tends to ruin things. The more men you get involved, the more likelihood of ruination.

I like community, and church is supposed to be the place to find it. I hope for you, that this church is a good one. Good luck! But dont feel defeated if it's not. Carry on being a good person.

It's not the church but the way it ran the sunday mass, to much singing and stuff and not enough information and advise from the pulpit. I liked the other parishioners they were so nice and helpful.
