Can't hurt to go explore. Maybe you might also gain something from learning about pre-christian myths (), as these are not dogmatized and thus have little standing to require you to take everything presented as literal fact (which may be a sore spot for one who considers themselves an atheist). Of course, Christianity has the benefit of community. Then again, there's no saying you can't do both... well, except Christianity and the whole 'no idols' thing.
