I'm going to church tomorrow. THere is a church at the bottom of the hill, it's an episcopal church. I have been to stubborn and pragmatic to go back to church after telling everyone I was an Atheist. It seems that all my heros in life believe in Jesus, and I'm sick of being associated with the liberals/leftist that are immoral atheist and not the atheism but how they pervert it. I've been thinking about this for about a week off and on and realized that I act like church person the way I live my life without the god stuff included, super honest, friendly, helpful, willing to help a person at the drop of a hat. I just think I should give it a shot since it's been over 45 years since I last went. Any thoughts here?

From my actions and attitude I think that has been what I have been doing with the cultural christian which I didn't know was a thing but that is how I am now but I think I want to do more maybe voluteer for stuff with the poor or better the elderly.

Read the red letter edition of the New testament. Just the red letters. You'll realize that organized churches are Paulist that preach the words of Jesus (red letters), but follow the words of Paul.

Can you explain that more, I have no idea what you're referring to? remember I've been an atheist most of my life so be as descriptive as you can please.

The red letter edition put (or prints) the words of Jesus in red. Everything else is black. It lets one see how organized churches differ from what they claim to be teaching.
