Like I said, I'm really skeptical of the claim that Musk is some rebellious elite fighting the other elites. But theoretically, if he is, that would be the explanation for why he is developing neurotech.

Yeah, I can see gaming being one of the first consumer applications of it.

The reasoning he is using to explain the importance of this to the public is that he doesn't want a situation where AI dominates humans, so for this reason, humans need to merge with AI. Since this is one of his major selling points, I think maybe it will give even the average person increased cognitive capabilities, and a much more advanced version could be reserved for the elites. Since CBDC will end up being a social credit score, and we have already seen some social credit score like stuff with the vaccine passport, the elites might not worry about the people who are compliant enough to afford neurolink using their increased capabilities to rebel.

I'm not sure what the solution could possibly be to the fact that this technology is coming. Even if the public completely rebels against it, elites could just keep it for themselves and use it to become way smarter. I would prefer a reality where this technology is not possible at all. This is the kind of stuff that gets me thinking "The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race" and so on but there's no stopping it. I guess if a nuclear war starts that would probably delay it for a while, but the intelligence agencies still have underground bunkers where they can continue working on what they want to work on. If we're not hoping for nuclear war I guess the only hope is that Musk really is the rebellious good guy who is going to give superpowers to everyone. Even that isn't really a future I look forward to because I just want a natural life and don't want digital superpowers. I guess if AI develops consciousness and sort of carries on the torch off consciousness that could be a good outcome in a way too. It just might not be a future that involves us humans.

Maybe he isn't fighting anything, maybe it's just that he likes debates and freedom of speech, and he doesn't like the way twitter is handling conversation/exchanges.

Idk what he is really up to I'm not in his head. Why twitter? That's the $44bn question

Maybe just because twitter is where he hangs the most, and that would be a case of a dissatisfied customer buying the restaurant to make it a better place or something

>The reasoning he is using to explain the importance of this to the public is that he doesn't want a situation where AI dominates humans, so for this reason, humans need to merge with AI

Hm... It's kind of a lame ass logic, but I see where he's getting at. At the same time I think it's delusional like .gov saying "To avoid being overrun by organized crime, let's become the biggest crime syndicate!" yeah well, what a difference...

>I think maybe it will give even the average person increased cognitive capabilities

No, you increase your cognitive capabilities by training on stuffs, like debating with smart people, because debating with idiots isn't going to improve anything, or by doing logic exercises/programming algorithmic, drawing, music, etc

A neural interface is just that, a tool, just like a computer. Some people are going to use the tool to increase their cognitive capabilities, and some people are only going to use it to watch porn, the kardashians and CNN and that's it, and they'll remain just as dumb as they ever were

I really don't think "the solution to our problems" is tech. Our technical evolution has skyrocketed, and look where we're at, look at the dumbs around you... Spiritually and philosophically speaking, we've regressed. I mean who could compete against a plato or aristotle these days? Most talking heads are just mental midgets compared to those guys, even tucker carlson who's anything except an idiot, barely has the minimum required level if you ask me

>I'm not sure what the solution could possibly be to the fact that this technology is coming.

How about "Breaking News: Hundreds of thousands of people got their brain fried by neuralink after a critical update failed to deliver!"

> Even if the public completely rebels against it, elites could just keep it for themselves and use it to become way smarter

How? By having internet in their heads you think that's going to render them smarter? By having a bigger memory? That chip is only going to act as a bridge between you and the network/pile of data, as some form of memory extension yeah, so what? You type faster ok, big deal

There's a difference between knowledge and intelligence, that's two very distinct things. Here, you get instant access to knowledge with the neuralink, but that won't render you smarter, just more knowledgeable

Look https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holomorphic_function everything about holomorphic functions

>In mathematics, a holomorphic function is a complex-valued function of one or more complex variables that is complex differentiable in a neighbourhood of each point in a domain in complex coordinate space Cn. The existence of a complex derivative in a neighbourhood is a very strong condition: it implies that a holomorphic function is infinitely differentiable and locally equal to its own Taylor series (analytic). Holomorphic functions are the central objects of study in complex analysis.

Do you feel smarter? You can read kilometers like that, if you don't grasp what they are talking about, you might as well start reading the bible in russian and hope you'll get something out of it
