The New York Times, home of the 'anonymous source', has refused to use the pseudonym 'Scott Alexander", causing the author to shutter his blog. The Times has, in the past, used pseudonyms for anyone and everyone who asks for one, unless they are viewed as being opposed to the goals of the revolution. Alexander is, by anyone's standards but the Times, a leftist. He spoke out against the Left too frequently for their tastes, and too infrequently to earn the loyalty of anyone else.
