Problem is that for gamers (which like it or not is a large part of PC users), the only distros that offer solid performance with applications like Steam and Wine are based around Debian/Ubuntu. I've yet to find a distro that is as well optimized for Steam as Ubuntu and Wine is just...fussy outside of Debian or Unbuntu
