I'm a n00b and have installed my second linux OS ever (Lubuntu i386).

So far it works well, but I've noticed there are some odd graphical glitches around text sometimes.

Do I need to install some fonts or something to make things display properly? Could there be an issue with the screen resolution?

I just duckduckgo'd it. And when I saw the lxde page I figured that would be the best bet. It shows in appearance where you active antialiasing under the fonts tab.
