One thing I find interesting is one of the Ten Commandments say to not draw anything from under the sea. Why not under the sea?

Gives credence to HP Lovecraft’s Old One’s because they tend to live under the sea.

What’s interesting is how perverted this particular commandment is often. Simple google search for the Ten Commandments won’t show this commandment in full form.

For reference here's Deuteronomy 5 from the Douay-Rheims edition I've been using (mostly). Note verse 8. I'm still curious to know which translation your quote is from.
