Then his buddy would have to take out taxes for receiving to his business. On the back end maybe hire the guy back round as a "consultant" and pay him back after the divorce... so as a business expense he wouldn't have to pay business taxes on that revenue. Consultant taxes takes out what...30%? Probably not even that much since he is a low wage army guy.
