Why should you care? you may ask. Reddit, love or loathe, tends to reflect the larger hivemind thinking of the internet. If reddit is changing, then it means the winds are probably starting to blow differently. A year ago, comments like the ones found in this particular story would have been non-existent as the general userbase circle-jerked itself to death on virtues.

With the quarantine of discussion forums relating to long-term side effects, reddit's handlers know and are trying to prevent this change. But, as more people are injured by this stuff, it's going to be harder to contain.

You definitely can catch fat from someone else via poor choices. You're also wasting hospital resources that is on something entirely preventable, as well.

They’re at the point where they’re hamster wheeling. They’re making 5 excuses and hoping it shuts everyone up.

First you’re infecting them even though they’re vaxxed and try to say it’s nothing like over eating or being an alcoholic but then complain about beds being full and surgeries postponed. That would be from fat people and alcoholics also.

Their narrative is falling apart just like with more vaxxed people are now being hospitalized and dying but the goal posts have moved to “what was their age and health status”. So that matters now?

“what was their age and health status”

Generally if someone is old and riddled with health issues even the seasonal flu will kill them. That's why I find it hilarious how hysterical these clowns are behaving when that inevitably happens, given that they didn't give a shit every previous year when more people died of seasonal flu than who died of the wubonic plague.

These people never took a flu shot, went out when they were sick, visited when they were sick and never cared. I know people who wouldn’t get the flu shot because they may feel bad for a day and it didn’t stop spread most years.

But at least it had safety studies, their whole flu shot argument is a lie as they get jabbed by the unknown.

And it wasn’t just the elderly with the flu some years it hit kids hard.

I recall obama was in office and the kids were dying(a few, not a ton) and being hospitalized and and the black kids were dying at a slightly higher rate here. We have a 2% black population but it seems like a 90% hispanic. Anyway obama sent the cdc, fda and a civil rights team to Oregon to make sure the little negros we’re getting the same care as the white kids.

Did all these people rush out and get a flu shot shot? Nope.

Since my mother is 80 and I have an immunocompromised relative that stays with us a few days a week, during flu season we curtail going out for fun. That’s our prerogative, we don’t make others cater to us or ask that the country be shut down, everyone get a flu shot and wear masks.

We did the same thing when my dad was having chemo, we stayed away from crowds on our own accord.

That’s what freedom is, your freedom doesn’t end because of my concerns. We now have this new narrative of a “societal duty” and individual rights no longer matter. It’s stupid and not anything the country is supposed to be about.
