Why would a kid even care seems like a disgruntled teacher or shill.

A kid had his mask down in the bathroom while take a covid test, the horror. The auditorium is too full OMG. Kids don’t give a shit about that stuff.

"Student" here. We all need to return to remote learning, so teachers can get paid for doing next to nothing.

They're just jealous of the teachers in Chicago who are sitting home with a paycheck.

Edit:

I didn't see any reason to believe it's not a high school student other than half way through (30-40% through), I was like wtf a high school student really decided to sit down and write this much? However it's New York and quite a different era.

"Refined to a ration" tells me he's young, and in high school. Only a young person would write that. They're always trying to sound smart. It doesn't make him sound smart though. A real smart person, who's older, doesn't say "refined to a ration."

what the hell is that supposed to even mean?

To anyone that thinks school is useful, it fucking isn't.

It matters who you know, not what you know. The ONLY reason to care about grades is if you're going to go into university for something.

The job I'm in now has 0 entry requirements except some common sense and I earn more than something I'd need a 5 year uni degree to achieve.

Learn on the job and pay for random small courses to build up a better skill set if you want but all I've learned is that schools are a univesity loan pyramid dump scheme.

Unless you're doing a STEM field stay the fuck away but you'll make more money and be happier doing a trade.

Will respond to people that want any advice.

I tested positive for COVID on December the 14th. At the time there were a total of 6 cases. By the end of break this number was up to 36. By January the 3rd (when we returned from break) the numbers were up to 100 (as listed on the school Google Sheet). Today there are 226. This is around 10% of my school.

What does this dim-witted kid think is going to happen when his entire school tests postive? Does he think they will all turn into bats and fly away? I'll tell him what will happen. Nothing. Because it doesn't matter! Jesus H. Christ, how can people be so fucking stupid???

That read like a comedy sketch... is everyone over there mentally diminished?

It felt like the vast majority of posts were by women, so are severely lacking there.

The workforce in the next few decades will be painfully stupid. You can try to tell them what to do, but every other sentence will be a new concept to them, that you'll have to teach. Starting with how to do an internet search for stupid questions they shouldn't even have to ask.

Tons of people in my family sick but I've seen it before, year after year. I dunno, maybe it's more contagious this year, but from what I've seen it's nothing more than an uncomfortable crappy cold.

One student tested positive IN THE AUDITORIUM, and a few students started screaming and ran away from him.

back when helicopter parenting became a thing we were picking on it and how it'll harm the kids in the long run. the mental damage done to the kids over the common cold are going to be much worse.

The source of half the retardation we see in kids today.
