You can't. Not in a universal manner. Not even close. Humans are different. Genetics, blood type, lifestyle, regional diet, etc.

I'm not trying to change your mind. Believe what you want. But I have a good feeling that if you did take some time to look into it and critically think about the data you will change your own mind. Maybe not...

You eat less and/or avoid certain foods and you lose weight.

If calories as a dietary thing were real there would be no "he eats so much but he stays so skinny" people. That would only apply to athletes.

Desk jockeys that are twigs and eat shit food everyday? That's impossible with the "calorie" system. Or do calories only apply to certain people?

Well yeah when I eat less "CI" goes down and when I exercise more "CO" goes up
