On a side note, I meant to ask you, why does this place exist? What caused you to create it?
Oh thats a long story.
Well the big outtages on voat got me worried and I commented way back then that someone should create a backup, and then I thought well fuck it I'll do it myself and so I did. Then people showed up and helped a lot and well poal is what it is today because of all that.
Then people on voat started to hate poal for existing and that is sad. I never intended any bad blood but its there now and seemingly there isn't anything I can do about it.
Then once it got rolling I started wanting to add things too it to help protect users from tracking and so I did poaltube then poalsearch and I keep coming up with things i want to do but there is never enough time in a day my friend.
It is kinda weird how Voat hates this place for not being Voat. I guess that's just the natural progression of things, though...
It really doesn't have to be, although maybe I'm wrong. I'd just think sites like this with similar goals would I don't know at least not hate other platforms that share similar goals.
Those who hate Poal are the same ones trying to tear down Voat. Almost like it's their job.
There is no reason for any goat to say anything bad about Poal.
