I do. It was awful. Very clunky and very dirty. I had to clean it often, which was annoying as hell. Also wired only, which was also annoying if you had little space on the table. Modern mouses are a tech wonder, kids don't know how much they have evolved.

A is different than a ball mouse. A trackball is a device where you roll the ball with your fingers or your thumb.

You're talking about non-optical mice, and yeah, they were a hassle. Their rollers always got gunked-up.

The first optical mouse I ever used was on a SUN workstation back in the early 90s. You had to use a special metal mousepad that was covered in dots that it used to detect motion.
