Certainly not their best effort. The writing is poor, and the movie struggles as a result.
Trying to build on a weak foundation seldom works out well.
I actually didn't finish the movie. I will probably go back and watch the rest when I have some time to kill, but I'm in no hurry.
Same thing happened with Arnold's last terminator film. I haven't finished that one yet either.
Hollywood, it seems, no longer has any decent writers.
Go look at the top movies in 2019, and see how few decent movies there really are even before covid.
This has happened before. There have been other years where Hollywood has failed to produce decent entertainment.
The glory years were all pre 2000.
Hollywood, it seems, no longer has any decent writers.
They don't know how to write a story, with a beginning, a middle, and an ending. It's all unlikeable characters bitching at each other between shootouts and car chases. As a result, you never care what happens to any of the characters. They are not likeable. They are just like the Hollywood people who write them, nasty unpleasant, shallow people you would never want to know.
