For me it was the movie "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" 1977 with Diane Keaton, Richard Gere and Tom Berenger. I remember seeing the trailer for it in the 80's but was never interested. It came on late night some months back and I watched it for the first time. Based on a true story, it's about a school teacher for handicapped children by day and a total bar whore by night. The movie is 99.9% drama, interesting story line and completely unsuspecting of the ending when she meets Tom Berenger at a club. Movie's final scene, she's bedding Berenger, yada yada, make out, yada yada, everything's fine, yada yada, she says something to piss him off, they fight and he outright stabs her in the neck and kills her. Her face fades away as each heart beat gets slower and that's the end. Sorry for the spoiler but had to be done. Good movie.
