a few days i compared the total mortality rate listed by the CDC from this year, and the previous two years. This year has far fewer total deaths compared to the last two years. I also checked the numbers on stats canada. that site was not as easy to read, but the numbers seem to suggest the same thing, less total deaths this year compared to the last two.
