I just had to look him up. "Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell." That's a lot of wisdom is a single sentence.
I don't agree with everything he did. He was a liberal in the true sense of the word, but a 1980's liberal. I don't think he would have been for the current regime. The Monkey Wrench Gang is interesting reading if you like books.
I'll add that one to my list. I read books from anyone regardless of their political leanings... idealogical terms almost don't mean anything anymore since the definitions have changed so much over time. I read in David McCollough's John Adams biography that he considered himself a liberal, and that really confused me until I learned about how these sorts of things evolve over time but maintain their original names. Funny to think of Adams as a liberal when compared to Biden, especially considering that the word Democrat was used as an insult in those days.
I consider myself a liberal to an extent. I support art, music, education, STEM, sports, freedom to do what you want, The mountains, America. Yeah. Thats actually a liberal belief. Its what these communists have done with the word.
