We cant stand to look at that face either. Imagine being so overcome with self hatred and a geist of confusion that you dont recognize your own face.
You know, I have been thinking about this general issue from the perspective of, what if are thinking about this issue all wrong?
We are looking at these people as if they are psychologically deseased. And they are. But, the problem with thinking about these issues as mental illness is on the one hand we are probably overgeneralizing in a way that is inapropriate and on the other when we think mental illness we automatically think these problems can be fixed with medications and medical treatments for mental illness.
What if the solution to a lot of these problems is completely non linear? What if:
The solution for male versions of this illness is actually forcefully getting these kids out of their situations and putting them on a strict excercise + diet regimen to build their bodies? What if the cause of this in men is the lack of an opportunity to fully express the male body in its full form resulting in the male brain degenerating into a kind of self hatred?
The solution to female versions of this illness is to forecfuly remove young women and girls OUT of their social environments and place them into groups of strong and properly adjusted females? I have a sneaky suspicion that most female cases in this category are merely the deep wiring that females have for group acceptance and all that is happening is that a mental virus is propagating through young female social circles via social interaction?
Viable theories. Totally untestable of course as society would view your theories as hatred.
I like your theories and wanted to point out re: trans females (women who think they're men). I remember hearing that many of them were sexually abused before they transed, so in a way, turning themselves into men was a protective measure so they wouldn't be attractive or a target anymore. Similar behavior has been found with abuse victims overeating (self soothing) so they become fat, because the fat is a layer of protection and makes them no longer attractive. I've also heard of high rates of autism on both sides, but what does that mean-they are more open to suggestion? Unfortunately our speculation is verboten and alternative approaches, investigation, or anything beyond 100% delusion-enabling is 'hate'
It's certainly a good idea to place these people in better environments. The problem is that the damage is already done when they were growing up. Sure it might help a few here and there who have the fortitude to break their programming, but I am doubtful it would be a success on a larger scale. It's easier to raise someone right than fix a broken grown person.
But some trannies are former Special Forces/SEALS/etc...
