Since when are employees garuanteed a free and fair union election? I'm no defender of amazon, but a company should be able to take a stance against unionization if they choose.

Amazon did take a stance against unionization. Recall how it was leaked a while back that they were promoting "diversity" among their workforce because it would prevent their employees from forming a union.

And they can. There are guidelines each side mus...should follow. If conditions are so bad as to force a vote, what does that say about their company?

Hard to draw any conclusions based on the limited reporting in this article and I don't care enough about amazon to research their sins.

My comment was that I was surprised employees are allowed any sort of protections when they are organizing to strong arm a company into their demands. I won't argue that amazon work conditions are likely awful though.

Not a lot of people realize how many people died unionizing in ages past.

Protecting the workers helps prevent that. Likewise it helps prevent the workers from burning the fucker to the ground.
